It’s no secret I’ve been thinking of Easter dinner for months now and I thought it only fair to share with you some of my top favorites for Easter dinner. Consider this a one-stop Easter dinner menu planner!
I’ve also included a few bonus links: special breakfast ideas and leftovers using ham (assuming you choose one of the delectable ham recipes!). Enjoy!

I made up a kind of cake I call Blueberry Buckle that has part whole wheat flour in the batter. It is sooo good and gets rave reviews. I put the blueberries in a layer between the cake batter, so it’s almost like a blueberry pie cake. This is our special Easter dessert.
I do not even know the way I finished up here,
however I believed this publish was once good.
I do not know who you are however certainly you’re going to a famous blogger when you are not
already. Cheers!
Easter dinner has come and gone and aside from cooking sweet potatoes in the crockpot (it works!), every recipe we had on our table was from MKC. My husband was the one raving about your recipes to my in-laws and everything was yummy (though I had never made a couple of things). I have pinned hundreds of things from other sites, but I don’t know why I bother because yours is the first and often only place I go for food inspiration. Thank you for making this site the wonderful resource and delicious place it is!
thanks for the ideas!!
but seriously, take it easy if you have had surgery!!
(…and you are a busy mom of 5 kids.)
you really are amazing 🙂
Great list! I agree with others that I’ve made many of these wonderful recipes in years past and plan to use our favorites for our Easter dinner. The slow cooker ham forever freed up Easter dinner oven crowding woes. Life changer!
But you never said what you were making this year. And I’m dying to know!
Hey Emily – you know, here’s a confession (I don’t even know if you’ll read this): I had a pretty major surgery for a health issue I’ve been having 10 days ago and I am seriously still rocking the laziness of recovery. I’ve already warned my family that we may have to push back our traditional Easter meal for a few weeks until I’m up and moving like normal again. If my doctor hadn’t ordered me within an inch of my life to stay on the down low, I’d probably still cook something, but he scares me. 🙂 However, if I were going to make it, I think I’d go for the sweet baked ham, cheesy au gratin potatoes, cornmeal crescent rolls, asparagus, creamy 5-cup fruit salad, and of course the unbelievable carrot cake AND creme brulee. I’m a pretty traditional girl when it comes to Easter dinner. 🙂
For the crockpot ham, would it turn out horrible if I used non-pure maple syrup? It just costs so much where I am…
you are my new best friend! Thanks- this is awesome!!!
talk about makin’ it easy! thanks so much for the great multiple choice menu. 🙂
What a wonderful, helpful round-up! This is perfect for everyone!
Thanks for all the suggestions! My menu (for brunch and dinner) is all set, now I’m trying to figure out how much I can do ahead of time and what needs to be done on Sunday. Have you ever baked your Carrot Sheet Cake one day and then frosted it the next day? I do a lot of my baking after the kids go to bed and was thinking of making it Sat night and then frosting it during naps on Sunday. Happy Easter to you and your family!
Sara – I would suggest baking and frosting the day before. The frosting will help keep the cake moist. Cover the cake pan, keep it in the fridge and serve it chilled or take it out a couple hours before serving. It works perfectly to make it ahead of time!
You.Are.Amazing.
This is so fantastic! We are having company over for dinner this year and now I know it can be a success with some of these recipes! Question, I’m thinking of doing the Chicken Cordon Bleu and Cheesy Potatoes (ones with cornflakes), but they bake at different temperatures, right? You have instructions in the potatoes recipe for cooking it at the same time as the ham…do you know how I could cook the chicken & potatoes at the same time?
Jenny S – if it were me, I’d bake the potatoes start to finish, take them out and cover them and then bake the chicken. Once the chicken comes out, pop the potatoes back in for 5-10 minutes and you’ll be good to go.
The sweet baked ham is delicious. We had it last year for Easter and it’s on the menu again for Sunday. Also the buttery crescent rolls and honey lime salad. Thanks!
Oh, I love it! Thank you so much for putting this together. I love the clean design and easy organization. The hardest part will be choosing between recipes, because they all look amazing!
Mel, I’m new to your blog and I think this post is a great example of why you’re my new daily stop. Thanks for the great ideas!
You rock Mel, and THANK YOU for the well wishes on my blog! I feel honored to have my famous Mel friends check in on me from time to time.

I have made many of these and they continue to be regular staples in our home! I am making your slow cooker ham again this year! And your lemon berry trifle is also a favorite!
Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been stuck on deciding about sides, dessert, and breakfast. I don’t have time this morning (off to work!) but what a wonderful late evening I’ll have exploring these links! My plans for after work this evening is to make a double batch of your fluffy whole wheat rolls. They have been a longing tugging on my heart every since you posted. Your exceptional hard work is so very much appreciated!
